Boating and Boat Access: A boat ramp provides private boat access to Strom Thurmond Lake. An admission applies to the boat ramp area for day-use visitors, overnight guest may use the boat ramp at no charge. Boat docks are available for overnight guests on a first-come, first-served basis.
Canoe/Kayak Rentals: Kayaks & the Canoe rent for $7/hour, $9/4 hours or $14/day.

Playground: One children's playground is provided in the lodge area. The park also has a basketball court, volleyball court, horsehoe pit, tether ball and ladder ball for park guests. There is also a putting green area near the restaurant. Equipment to use these facilities is available for check out at the front desk.
Swimming: Swimming is permitted in Lake Thurmond. Park visitors may swim at their own risk. Lake access for swimming is limited.
Swimming Pool: A pool is available for cabin and lodge guests.
Archery: Archery is available by appointment only from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily.
$10 per person includes 30 minutes of instruction with equipment provided by the park. $5 per person includes 30 minutes of instruction, and you provide your own equipment. Ages seven and up may participate. Please contact the park for more information or to schedule an appointment.
Skeet Shooting: Skeet shooting is available by appointment only for ages 13 and up. Groups of five or more must make an appointment no less than one week in advance. A $20 deposit is required when appointments are made.

Camping Information: Enjoy camping along the shores of Strom Thurmond Lake. Each site is packed gravel and has individual water and electrical hookups and picnic table.
The campground is convenient to restroom facilities with hot showers. All sites accommodate RV's up to 30 feet, 21 which are waterfront.
