With locations on both the Hermitage and Pittsburg sides of Pomme de Terre Lake, Pomme de Terre State Park offers a little bit of everything. A marina and boat ramps make it easy to get in the water and fish for bass, walleye, catfish, crappie, or muskie. Two public swimming beaches make for great places to cool off or laze the day away. Two hiking trails satisfy an appetite for adventure. And more than 250 campsites make the park ideal for multi-day getaways.
Fishing
Cast your lines for bass, walleye, catfish, crappie or even muskie. Pomme de Terre Lake is the only lake in Missouri that offers true muskellunge fishing. A fishing pier and marina are features on the Pittsburg side.
Fishing is allowed anywhere on Pomme de Terre Lake. For fishing at the State Park Marina, there is a $2 per day fee for adults and $1 for children.
Boating
Gain access to Pomme de Terre Lake at one of the four paved boat launch ramps in the park. On the Hermitage side of Pomme de Terre Lake, one is located at the campground (accessible March through November) and the other is off of the Highway 64 and RD Road entrance to the north side of the park. On the Pittsburg side, there is a boat launch located at the State Park Marina and one by the open picnic shelter. There are no launch fees in the park.

Camping
Pomme de Terre State Park offers campgrounds in both the Pittsburg and Hermitage areas of the park. Both offer a variety of amenities and family campsites for those who need a little extra space.
The Pittsburg area features a full-service marina, beach, shelter house, a picnic area and trails. The Hermitage area amenities include a large beach, a picnic area and trails.Park stores, which sell camping supplies, are located in both areas of the park.

Swimming
Cool off or lounge in the sun at one of the park's two public swimming beaches, located on both sides of Pomme de Terre Lake. There is a restroom and change house facility located at each beach. Swim at your own risk.
Picnic Areas
Rest or enjoy lunch at one of the picnic sites located throughout the forest and near the lake.
PICNIC SHELTER
For large gatherings of friends or family, you can reserve in advance an open picnic shelter overlooking the lake for a $35 fee. The open shelter will accommodate up to 75 guests and is equipped with water, electricity, seating and an outdoor grill.
PLAYGROUNDS
The kids will stay entertained at one of the playground areas. On the Pittsburg side of the park, you will find one playground at the shelter house and another by the showerhouse. On the Hermitage side of the park, a playground is located in the campground and is accessible March through November.
