We arrived early and got a great parking spot in the shade and were able to find a nice spot on the beach to set up. We had our inflatable kayak with us and were glad that we did not have to walk far with it. The beach has a life guard and is very clean. The water is amazing, so clean and clear. Enjoyed going out on our kayak as well as just swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear water. Well worth the $10 state park fee.

A nice beach, though it has shrunk since we have gotten more water. The beach is always normally clean and the water is always beautiful. Water will be cold! Bathrooms are nice as they are single private affairs. Parking is not great, but you will live. Not sure if coke is sold anywhere here unless you are at the Shakespeare Festival.

Amazing place!! It’s the picturesque place to get the “Lake Tahoe” pic with the clear water and rocks in the water. I was blown away by how pretty and clear the water was. We took our pictures with the rocks and then went to the beach part to float and lay out. We went in late July and the water felt great! Cold but not freezing, just like a pool. I don’t think one could ever get sick of Lake Tahoe’s water and beauty! -Sand Harbor opens at 8 am. People are known to line up at 7 am. We arrived around 8:10 am on a Saturday morning and there was already traffic from cars waiting. There were at least 100 cars that made it in before us! So get there early, otherwise, you’re not getting in. -No walk-ins or drop offs allowed! The road is narrow and they don’t allow it for your safety. We saw two men walk for awhile and try to get in by walking in and they were turned away! So you really can’t get in unless you’re in a vehicle. -There is a place to rent paddle boards and kayaks there. It’d be wise to make reservations prior to or you may not get to paddle board or kayak! -There are bathrooms there and a restaurant and shop. This is a MUST if you go to Lake Tahoe! My favorite part of the trip!

Love this beach! Had not been there. In several years, but it is still peaceful and relaxing. The water in July was perfect! Can't wait till next year ... But I will be more careful because I burned my back pretty bad. A day at the beach is always fantastic!

This wonder of Tahoe was suggested by a friendly staff member of a local gallery, after she passionately regaled my wife and me of its beauty. We made the journey north because of her recommendation. We needed more time and will recommend this to anyone. Beautiful State Park unmatched by any we've seen to date. Love this place!
