Awesome area for all kinds of water sports. Great fishing, boating, and sailing. Lots of history on the Missouri River, Lewis and Clark went through this area. There is a hydro electric dam here also. Several camping areas and beach areas as well as day use areas. There is also 3 or 4 disc golf courses. The city of Yankton is close and there are some c-stores nearby also.

It is a huge park with lots of campsites. For the most park it is very well maintained but the grass was pretty beat up on our site there were no level spots to set up a tent. They charge $5 for 10 pieces of wood which is a good amount. However, the wood is just loosely piled in a building and when we were here it was all wet and partially rotten wood. I was very disappointed with the quality of the wood. There are several nice beaches and several miles of paved biking/running trails.

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that there aren't water hookups at the sites. However, there are plenty of shower houses, and wow, what an excellent layout. The views of the lake are fantastic, and you're never more than a few minutes walk from a beach where you can jump in for a refreshing swim. You're not right on top of your neighbors, and the wildlife (deer, turkeys) will wander right through camp.

Absolutely Beautiful!! The cabin that we are staying in is very clean, spacious, homey and the beds are absolutely perfect. I am in heaven and I don't want to leave on Sunday. I have never been more relaxed and I have my three kids with me!! The Park is absolutely beautiful. Everything here is beautiful!!!

Great place to camp. Campsites are not cramped together. Water access everywhere. Had a blast
