As a beach, it's not bad - great facilities and overall location. And I understand funding is in short supply, but charging my wife and me $20 to get in and another $10 to park is exorbitant. Here in Florida on the gulf coast, all the beaches we've tried are free and gorgeous. I understand the townies want to subsidize their expenses, but there's something to be said for welcoming visitors with reasonable charges.

The beach was very clean and well-kept and not too crowded. The lifeguards paid a lot of attention to the swimmers, so it is also a very safe place to go. The price is a little high at $10 per person, but it is a great beach overall.

Narragansett beach is a little small compared to some other beaches in Rhode Island, but it is a great place. They have great waves, they sell food, drinks, and frozen treats, bathrooms and if you are sandy there is a hose. You are allowed to surf and boogie board.

Beautiful beach, one of the best in the area. Waves are usually at a manageable level for children and showers are available. If you don't like fees come before or after hours. If you are a town resident, you can get a seasonal entrance and parking pass for a good value.

Beach is so pretty, calm and clean. Public clean bathrooms, food stand, an area to wash off the sand and life guards in duty. Parking is free after 5pm. During the summer season they have free movies on the beach too!
